Looking for year-round coverage? Our season leases span October 1–May 31 and stay valid through the ski season, generally until Mt. Bachelor closes in spring.
With AWD/4WD and solid winter tires, you’re typically good to go. Bring chains and follow any traction controls in effect. Rolling on summer or worn tires? Consider carpooling with a properly equipped vehicle or using a shuttle on storm days.
We love the enthusiasm—save the turns for the hill. The lot is busy and hard on gear, so please walk. If equipment is damaged from parking-lot use, repair or replacement charges apply.
We love our IKON riders, but we don’t have a store-specific IKON discount. For pass perks or ticket deals, please check Mt. Bachelor or the IKON Pass website.
We're right on Century Drive in Bend - 311 SW Century Dr, to be exact. Look for the building with a huge sign that says "Powder House"
Skis are available for same-day pickup during regular business hours, subject to inventory and fitting queues. Guests are encouraged to complete the online rental form in advance. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to closing, especially on weekends and holidays.
We understand plans change. However, once gear leaves the shop the day is considered rented, so we’re not able to offer refunds or partial credits.
Street use is considered misuse. Pavement, sand, and de-icer cause rapid base and edge damage; any resulting repairs or replacement costs are the customer’s responsibility. Please use Nordic skis on groomed trails or comparable snow surfaces only
Nope! Come in whenever you feel like it. (If we are open) a friendly and helpful bootfitter on staff will be happy to give you a foot - I mean hand!
Absolutely—we wax, tune, mount, and service skis! Turnaround varies by workload; our techs will quote a firm ETA at drop-off.
While we welcome you to come to our shop, you have the option to order equipment online. However, this is not a reservation. It's an order, you will need to come in regardless to get sized for your equipment.
No drop box yet—we like to say skis prefer handshakes, not mail slots. Bring rentals back during morning business hours so we can check them in right.
No reservations needed. Summer rentals are walk-in only, first come, first served. Gear goes fast on hot days so get here early.
Every rental comes with a properly fitted PFD (life jacket) and a whistle. Both are required on the river. Our staff will also walk you through the float route, what to expect at the whitewater section, and how to get back.
Budget about 1 hour and 40 minutes at a relaxed pace. The river is one-way so once you are in, you are heading downstream the whole way.
Yes, most of it is a calm, easy float. The one thing to know is Bend Whitewater Park about halfway through, which has a small rapid section. You can ride straight through or exit left and carry your gear around. We will explain everything before you head out.
You put in at Riverbend Park, about a 5 minute drive from our store. Get out at Drake Park on the right side after floating under the Galveston Avenue bridge. Then drive back to us to return your gear.
Most people drive to Riverbend, float to Drake, and have someone drive to pick them up. You can also walk back along the river trail in about 32 minutes, take the paid Park and Float shuttle from the Pavilion, or grab an Uber.
We rent single river tubes ($15 for 3 hours, $30 per day), double river tubes ($40 for 3 hours, $70 per day), sit-in and sit-on-top kayaks ($30 for 3 hours, $65 per day), and stand-up paddleboards ($30 for 3 hours, $65 per day).
